This 2008 version of the jacket has been upgraded to have a softer fabric that is also more water resistant. The Zephrr polyester fabric is a good lightweight fabric that makes it easy to carry when not in use. It offers a full length front zip to make it easy to put on and take off, and then when its on, the fitting is good enough to avoid it flapping around and causing drag.
The main problem with this jacket is the lack of ventilation – unlike many other jackets, it has no back vents. Of course, its hard to not get hot in any jacket, but every vent helps. The front zip can be used to regulate temperature but the addition of a few vents would make it much more comfortable to use in warmer conditions. The addition of a pocket would also make it a bit more useable.
